Minvo Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Minvo collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. Minvo is an app and website (minvo.ai) that lets you chat with AI models, create and edit images, make short videos, use tools such as read aloud, document conversion, form filling and link summaries, and keep memory and projects in sync across your devices.

Minvo is an AI service. Replies, images, videos and voices are generated by artificial intelligence, not by people.

Privacy at a glance

  • We never sell your personal data, and we never share it for advertising.
  • We never use your chats, files, images or videos to train AI models.
  • Your messages go to the AI company that runs the model you use, only to answer you, and the app asks for your consent first.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites, and the app has no advertising.
  • You can delete any chat, file or creation, or your whole account, at any time, in the app or at minvo.ai/delete-account.

4. AI providers and other processors

When you send a message, it goes to our server and then to the AI provider that runs the model you chose (or the model "Auto" picked, which the app shows). Before your first message, the app asks for your consent to share your content with these providers.

AI providers may keep data for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) to detect abuse, then delete it, unless a longer period is required by law. Where a provider offers zero data retention, we use it.

5. Cookies, local storage and tracking

The minvo.ai website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The web app at minvo.ai/app uses your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Minvo does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so it never shows Apple's "Allow tracking" prompt.

6. International transfers

Our providers are based in the United States. We transfer data under the UK-US Data Bridge where the provider is certified, or under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with additional safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest.

8. Your choices and rights

In the app you can: view, edit and delete memory; turn memory off; use a temporary chat; delete any chat, file, image or video; export your data; and delete your account (Settings, Data and privacy, Delete account). You can also delete your account on the web at minvo.ai/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your chats, projects, memory, images, videos and credits for good; an active subscription must also be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.

Under UK GDPR (and the EU GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area) you also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@minvo.ai; we reply within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority, though we would like the chance to help first.

United States: if you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to access, correct and delete it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. To use these rights, email privacy@minvo.ai or delete your account in the app.

9. Age

Minvo is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. AI provider keys stay on our servers, never in the app. Access to user data inside Scotly Apps is limited to staff who need it for support or security, and is logged.
